Friction Dampers
The main typical characteristics of the JARRET friction damper are:
- Low sensitivity of the friction force at the working temperature,
(-200°C / + 200°C)
- Low sensitivity at the working velocity,
(F " C*V a, a"0.2 at RT and a"0.01 at -196°C)
- - Capability to work under very short stroke (from some hundredths mm)
- - Width frequency range, from 0 to a few hundred Hz,
- - Capability to work under high working velocity (up to 100 m/s)
- - No pressure, no risk of explosion due to a high pressure
- - No fluid, no risk of leakage
- - Low mass
