The liquid oxygen Ø tank
(LOX) is simply supported at its bottom side by
several suspension struts. Four damper struts
(SARO) are connected between the liquid hydrogen
tank (LH2) and the top of the LOX tank. Without
the four damper struts, the thrust oscillations
of the boosters would lead to dynamic response
of the LOX which could bring undesirable effects
on the payloads..
